Our History

Davis IGA was founded in 1974 by Charlie and Anne Davis. Charlie had worked for A&P grocery for 25 years and dreamt of starting a store in his hometown. Over the decades his children Gary, Marie, and Audrey gradually took over the family business for another generation of success. In 2023 the Davis family sold the store to Gregory Eads. Gregory Eads is a long time Kent resident who worked for the Davis family store for over 20 years. It is our “Hometown Proud” honor to serve our community for generations to come.
